TENSION BOILS IN ZAMFARA AS ARMED BANDITS SLAM ₦30 MILLION ‘RANSOM LEVY’ ON ENTIRE COMMUNITY
In a chilling escalation of terror, the people of Ƙurar Mota town in Bungudu LGA, Zamfara State, have been thrown into panic after a notorious armed bandit group reportedly imposed a staggering ₦30 million levy on the entire community — with a brutal four-day deadline.
According to frightened residents, the gang ordered that the money be packed into sacks and delivered to them or risk a deadly invasion of the community.
Sources inside the town revealed that the criminals are currently holding about 40 local hostages, adding unbearable emotional pressure on families who have already endured years of repeated attacks and kidnappings.
Fear now grips the entire community as the bandits allegedly warned that failure to meet the deadline will trigger a violent assault on Ƙurar Mota, a threat locals say they cannot afford to ignore.
Villagers are pleading for urgent intervention from security agencies and the Zamfara State Government, describing the situation as a countdown to disaster if help does not arrive immediately.
