Nigeria was shaken on Monday after elder statesman and NNPP chieftain Buba Galadima openly declared that the country has collapsed so badly that Britain should return and “sanitise Nigeria.”
Speaking on AIT, Galadima said Nigeria has failed on every frontline, security, agriculture, rule of law, governance, and democracy, and is now edging dangerously close to breakdown.
According to him, the situation is so dire that “if the government cannot secure this country, then let Britain come back, enforce the rule of law, teach us democracy, and end corruption.”
He blamed Nigerians for selling their future for N200 and Indomie, saying anyone who trades their vote has also chosen their suffering.
On insecurity, he warned that Abuja is not safe, insisting bandits could overrun the capital if they coordinated a multi-state attack.
He painted a grim picture of a nation where farmers can’t farm, food prices crash their pockets, borders are flooded with imports, and corruption blinds leaders from doing the right thing.
To him, the real danger is simple:
“From sycophants and bootlickers, you will never hear the truth.”
Galadima argues Nigeria may need radical solutions, even foreign mercenaries, if leaders remain unwilling or unable to reclaim the country.
And in one of his boldest lines yet, he asked:
“Does it matter who brings peace and puts food on your table?”
Whether patriotic or provocative, his words have ignited a national firestorm.
