Bandits who abducted retired Major General Rabe Abubakar Batsari and his wife in Katsina State have reportedly demanded a prisoner swap instead of ransom for their release.
The couple was kidnapped along the Marabar Musawa–Kafinsoli road in Matazu LGA. Reports say the gang is demanding the release of detained associates in exchange for the victims.
The retired general reportedly confirmed that he and his wife are alive and safe.
