Gunmen Kill Motorist, Kidnap Vehicle Occupants in Imo
Imo State, Nigeria – Sunday Evening: Panic gripped Amala Autonomous Community in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area as gunmen unleashed a deadly ambush on motorists.
Eyewitnesses report that armed men emerged suddenly from a bush, opening fire on a Toyota Highlander SUV. The driver was shot and later pronounced dead at a hospital, while the attackers abducted occupants of a nearby Lexus RS300. The exact number of kidnapped victims is still unknown.
Police confirmed the attack, with State Public Relations Officer Henry Okoye stating, “The Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, has launched an immediate manhunt involving security agencies and local vigilante groups to track the attackers and rescue the victims.”
