My people, make we no dey carry fake hope or sugarcoat truth. See wetin happen:

Nigeria quick mobilize jets, guns, soldiers, rush march enter Benin when trouble show face.
Dem say “we dey help our brother country.” Dem deploy planes, dem send troops, dem carry strength go foreign land to stop coup, to restore order.

But for our own backyard?
Farmers no fit sleep.
Children no fit waka go school.
Markets no safe.
Villages dey empty.
Mothers no dey rest mind.
Fathers dey fear plan tomorrow.
Hundreds dey die quietly, bandits, kidnappers, terrorists, corrupt system all dey reign like say na public holiday for crime.
Yet the government wey fit fly reach another country, dey act like dem no hear scream of their own people.
“Silence,” dem dey say.
“Patience,” them dey preach.
But na blood dey stain our ground.
Blood of pikin wey still dey school.
Blood of old man wey don build farm
Blood of simple mother wey just dey look for chop for tomorrow.
So make we ask:
Why the quick rush for foreign country?
Why the delay for domestic terror?
Who dey gain when our people dey scatter for bush?
Who dey collect contract for foreign mission and still dey smile at poor man wey dey fight for his own survival?
Na we be the victims of this selective protection.
Today our sister don disappear, tomorrow another village burn. we dey mourn, we dey beg, we dey pray.
Of course dem go talk: “We dey try.”
But try no dey feed grieving mother.
Peace talk no dey pay hospital bills for orphaned children.
Area Fada no dey carry confusion.
I dey shout loud:
If you get army and jets for foreign land, you fit carry am back home.
If you fit protect foreigners, you fit protect your own people.
If you fit fight coup, you fit fight bandit; if you fit bomb rebel, you fit guard citizen; if you fit defend border, you fit defend home.
This country na for all of us, no be only for those with power or passport.
And if government no fit secure us,
Then make we rise, speak up, demand and DEMAND justice.
Area Fada don talk am.
If you agree, shout am loud.
If you fear, remember say fear no dey pay for tomb.
We want life, we want safety, we want respect.
And we won’t settle for less.
