Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ across the world,
Last week, a warning was given an urgent cry for attention. Judd Saul shared an intelligence report about impending terror attacks on our people in Southern Taraba Takum, Chanchangi, Donga, Yelwata and also Southern Kaduna. The warning came, but it was met with silence. No protection. No intervention.
Then on Monday, the 23rd, the darkness struck.
At St. James the Great Catholic Church, Adu, a house built for the worship of God was set ablaze. Fulani jihadists descended, and what was once a place of prayer became ashes and sorrow. The cries of the faithful rose to heaven as flames consumed the sanctuary.
From late 2025 until now, more than 90,000 Christians have been driven from their homes. Families are scattered. Children are left without shelter. Many have been killed lives cut short simply because they bear the name of Christ.
And yet, the attacks have not ended… they are only beginning.
We speak, we cry, we warn but those entrusted with power have done nothing. The government and military stood still while innocent blood was shed. And even now, when we say it is genocide, some deny it, closing their eyes to the suffering of God’s people.
But the Word of God reminds us:
“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” Psalm 9:9
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Psalm 116:15
“If one part suffers, every part suffers with it.” 1 Corinthians 12:26
Brethren, we are one body in Christ. The pain in Nigeria is your pain. The tears here must become your prayers.
Let us cry out for divine intervention:
O Lord God Almighty, arise and defend Your people. Let Your justice roll like thunder across the land. Stretch forth Your mighty hand and put an end to the bloodshed. Be a shield to the defenseless, a voice to the voiceless, and a refuge to the brokenhearted.
Father, as You delivered Daniel from the lions’ den and rescued Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fiery furnace, deliver Your children now from the hands of evil men.
Let Your light shine in this darkness, and let peace return to our land.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
Beloved, do not be silent. Stand with us in prayer. Stand with us in faith. For though the night is dark, we believe the morning will come.
