PALM SUNDAY IN NIGERIA TURNED DEADLY

Gunmen attacked the Gari Ya Waye and Anguwan Rukuba area of Jos North, Plateau State, on the night of March 29, 2026, during Palm Sunday, killing at least 30 people, with other reports placing the toll higher, from 30 to 40 or more. A 48-hour curfew followed. The exact number is still disputed. What is not disputed is that families were shattered in a predominantly Christian community during Holy Week.
