THEY WERE ARRESTED WITH AK- 47s AND RELEASED WITH AK-47s..... WHY SHOULD IT END LIKE THAT? -- SENATOR MUSA

According to a report by Daily Post on Thursday November 27, 2025, Senator Sani Musa, representing Niger East Senatorial District, has urged authorities to ensure that anyone connected to terrorism is arrested, regardless of their social or political status.

He emphasized that even family members should not be exempt if found involved in such crimes.
Speaking during a Senate plenary, Musa highlighted growing concerns over the escalating security threats across Nigeria, noting that what began in a single local government has now spread to multiple areas, leaving no state untouched.
The senator expressed frustration over repeated incidents where suspected criminals were apprehended with firearms but later released without consequence, only for attacks to recur.
He argued that this cycle undermines public safety and allows criminal networks to thrive
He said; “They were arrested with AK-47s and released with AK-47s, no gunshots, no arrest, nothing. And then tomorrow, we wake up to another banditry. Why should it end like that?”
Musa also called on Senate President Godswill Akpabio to take decisive action to protect Nigerians.
He assured that the Senate would provide support to leadership willing to confront the crisis directly, stressing that political considerations must not override the imperative to safeguard lives
