Bandits Repelled in Sokoto: No Casualties as Vigilantes, Soldiers Intercept Attack on Kwargaba Community
Last night, suspected bandits attacked Kwargaba community in Wurno LGA, Sokoto State — but thanks to the swift response of local vigilantes and soldiers from the nearby military post in Marnona, the attack was thwarted and residents emerged unscathed.
According to community sources, when the alarm was raised, the joint vigilante–military team mobilized immediately, engaging the assailants and driving them away. In the ensuing confrontation, two suspected bandits were killed and three others taken into custody. Thankfully, no resident was harmed or abducted during the incident.
Local residents have expressed their profound gratitude to the responding forces, commending their rapid and decisive action. Many described the outcome as a “miraculous escape,” applauding the authorities for safeguarding lives and restoring calm to the community.
