FG Set to Expose Identities of Terrorism Financiers

FG Set to Expose Identities of Terrorism Financiers — Presidential Aide Daniel Bwala The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has announced that the federal government is set to unveil the identities of individuals and networks responsible for financing terrorism in Nigeria.

Speaking during an interview on Television Continental (TVC) on Sunday, Bwala stated that the administration is taking “far-reaching decisions” on national security, which will soon become apparent to citizens. He explained that terrorism has transformed into a global threat that transcends national boundaries, making international cooperation essential in combating its growth.

According to him, world powers are increasingly acknowledging the need to assist countries like Nigeria, where extremist groups have been attempting to widen their influence. “Since the events of 9/11, terrorism has been treated as a global security issue. Any nation where terrorists operate becomes a concern to the rest of the world,” he said.

“This is why international partners must continue to cooperate with Nigeria in our efforts to dismantle terrorist networks,” he added. Bwala noted that extremist operations that once concentrated in parts of the Middle East have gradually shifted toward the Sahel region, creating new centers of instability that require stronger regional and global collaboration.

He stated that the Tinubu administration is stepping up measures to address the threat domestically and will soon expose those responsible for funding and enabling terrorist groups across the country. “At home, the government is making decisive interventions. In the coming days, Nigerians will know who the terrorists are and those funding them,” Bwala stated.
