Terrorists from Mali and Burkina Faso stormed Nigeria to attack four states

Terrorists from Mali and Burkina Faso stormed Nigeria to attack four states, according to military sources.

High-ranking military officials confirmed that the recent precision strikes by the U.S. Navy against terrorist targets in Northwest Nigeria, carried out in coordination with the Nigerian military, were very successful and met their objectives.

“It was a successful joint operation with the U.S. military. We provided the targets, and they carried out the strikes.

Sources stated t

hat before the operation, actionable intelligence pointed to a “massive convergence” of armed terrorists and bandits entering Nigeria via the Sahel corridors of Mali and Burkina Faso. These groups were reportedly planning coordinated attacks on communities in Sokoto, Zamfara, Niger, and Katsina states.

The terror cells linked to foreign groups, including ISIS, targeted in the operation included the Lakurawa and Jenni factions. Intelligence confirmed these groups had mobilised members from Mali and Burkina Faso to carry out attacks during the Christmas and New Year festivities.

According to the Pentagon, at least one Tomahawk missile was launched from a U.S. naval platform near Ghana in the international sea corridors as part of a coordinated strike. Additionally, advanced long-range drones were used to support precise targeting and reduce collateral damage.

When asked about civilian casualties, sources stressed that the operation was “carefully planned and highly selective,” with surveillance systems in place to ensure only confirmed terrorist combatants and their logistics hubs were targeted.

This operation highlights the increasing collaboration between Nigerian and international forces to counter transnational terrorism and defend vulnerable communities in North
