There is something about the genocide of Christians in Nigeria that many people do not know.
But I will tell you.
No, it started with normal peace-loving Muslims, killing innocent defenseless Christians and southerners in the street of Northern Nigeria over religion.
Let me show you a few examples:
1. The Maitatsine Uprising: Kano (Dec 1980)
An Islamic preacher Called Marwa and his followers started a Terrorist sect in northern Nigeria.
Thousands of Christians, moderate Muslims and security operatives were killed by the Maitatsine extremist sect in violent lynching and burning of Christians in Northern Nigeria.
2. The Maitatsine Violence: Kaduna, Maiduguri, Yola (1982–1985)
The sect gained following all over the North and repeated attacks by the Maitatsine sect killed thousands more Christians across northern cities.
3. Kano Muslim Riot (Oct 1982)
Large-scale Muslim mobs attacked Christian areas; dozens to hundreds of Christians were killed. Because Christians wanted to renovate a church in a Muslim area near a mosque.
4. Bauchi Muslim "pork meat" massacre (April 1991)
Muslim rioters attacked Christian communities; thousands of Christians were killed in Bauchi and nearby towns, because Muslims did not want Christian butchers to sell pork meat in the market.
5. Reinhard Bonnke Crusade Riot: Kano (Oct 1991)
Muslim mobs attacked Christians over a planned Bonke religious program; hundreds of Christians were killed in the most horrific ways, some estimates in the thousands.
6. Zangon Kataf Crisis
Kaduna (Feb–May 1992) Muslim mobs attack christian communities leaving hundreds dead. Because the Christian king decided to move the main local government market from the Muslim dominated area to a neutral area to end monopoly.
7. Jos Pre-Sharia Riots (1994–1999)
Multiple Muslim Sharia riots were carried out over the rejection of plans to implement Sharia law, resulting in dozens of deaths before the major 2001 crisis.
8. Sharia Riots: Kaduna (Feb–May 2000)
Muslim Mobs rioted over rejection of Sharia law and killed more than 1000 Christians
9. Jos Crisis: Plateau (Sept 2001)
After the implementation of sharia, the Muslims in Jos wanted to take over the political structure of Jos people. The people of Jos rejected it. Muslim riots left hundreds of Christians dead in days of violence.
10. Kano sharia Riots: Kano (Oct 2001)
Muslim mobs attacked Christians over sharia push back, dozens to over 100 killed.

11. Miss World Riots: Kaduna (Nov 2002)
Peace loving Muslim mobs attacked Christians over the Miss World pageant and a newspaper article; over 300 Christians killed and churches burned.
12. Danish Cartoon Riots: Maiduguri & Northern States (Feb 2006)
Peace loving Muslim mobs attacked churches and Christian neighborhoods over alleged Mohammed cartoons published in Denmark; 200+ Christians killed, many churches destroyed.
13. October 2001, USA conducted airstrikes against Afghanistan.
Peace loving Muslim mobs in Kano rioted and began slaughtering Christians. 800 to 1000 Christians were killed. The army had to be called in. The government tried to downplay the numbers.
14. THE LYNCHING OF DEBORAH SAMUEL AND MANY OTHER CHRISTIANS AFTER BEING FALSELY ACCUSED OF BLASPHEMY
15. THE BOMBING AND BURNING OF UNCOUNTABLE CHURCHES IN THE NORTH AND MIDDLE BELT OF NIGERIA.
16. THE MARGINALIZATION OF CHRISTIANS INDIGENES IN NORTHERN STATES IN SCHOOL, EMPLOYMENT, JOBS, POLITICS, CONTRACTS, JUSTICE, ETC
