Today, 12 December 2025, marks five years since the birth of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) a community-driven security structure created to safeguard lives, farmlands, and rural communities across the South-East.
Brief History of ESN
ESN was launched on 12 December 2020 by IPOB Leader Ohamadike Biafra Prophet (Maazi Nnamdi kanu) as a response to rising Fulani-Terrorists attacks & Insecurity across rural areas of the South-East.
Its foundation was built on the need to protect farmers, secure forest routes, and support communities facing threats from violent criminal elements.
From inception, ESN focused on defending villages, forests, and farmlands across the old Eastern Region.
ESN Core Mission

Reduce attacks in forest zones
Safeguard the South-East territory from dangerous groups and invaders
ESN activities became a turning point for many rural dwellers who had abandoned their farms due to fear and insecurity.
