Saboteurs in Igboland have never received any significant applause from the people, and that is a major sign that the people know the truth.
The spilling of innocent blood and acts of sabotage are two things that can never receive the approval of the greater good of Ndi Igbo.
What Udele is doing is nothing short of clear sabotage. If truly he was fighting IPOB and ESN, that would be a different conversation entirely.
But assembling a gang of fellow saboteurs to insult the memory of your ancestors—men and women who fought for your very existence—and calling their sacrifices “mistakes” is where your downfall begins.
Our ancestors fought the Biafran war to preserve their lives and secure your future.
Have you forgotten the Kano pogrom that triggered the mass exodus of Ndi Igbo back to the East?
Have you forgotten those who were slaughtered on their way home and never made it back?
Have you forgotten why on 26 May 1967, the Eastern Consultative Assembly—made up of chiefs, elders, and political representatives from the Eastern Region—met in Enugu and reportedly mandated Ojukwu to declare Eastern Nigeria a sovereign state —because Nigeria could no longer guarantee their safety?
Have you also forgotten how Ojukwu and Gowon went to Aburi to negotiate, reached an agreement on regional governance, only for Gowon to return and act otherwise?
Have you forgotten how the first strikes against Biafra began at Gakem?
Yet you have the audacity to call their sacrifices a mistake, to accuse them of starting a war, and to claim they wasted lives.
History remembers. And so will posterity.
If you were alive then, you will surely gang up with Ifeajauna.
