AL-SHABAAB EXECUTES ITS OWN COMMANDER
29 April 2026 — Night time (Somalia)
Guys, make we break this down clearly.
A senior Al‑Shabaab foreign fighter has been executed by his own people.
The man is Ibnu Omar.
Kenyan national. From Mombasa.
Not a small boy. Senior commander.
This happened in Buale, Somalia.
Inside his residence. Night operation.
Why was he killed?
Security sources say: He was summoned from Hiiraan to meet top commanders. They wanted to redeploy him back to Kenya.
But here’s the problem.
Ibnu Omar refused.
He said he would NOT work under a Kenya-designated operative called Moalim Salman.
That refusal was taken as disloyalty.
And in Al-Shabaab world, disloyalty = death.
This is not the first sign. Before now, Kenyan and Tanzanian fighters were already arrested for “insubordination.”
So what’s really going on?
Simple. Internal cracks. Power struggle. Foreign fighters no longer trusting the command structure.
When a group starts killing its own senior men, it means: • Fear inside
• Suspicion everywhere
• Command breaking down
Yes, they are still dangerous.
But this kind of internal bloodletting weakens coordination — especially operations targeting Somalia and Kenya.
In short: The threat is still there. But the house is shaking from inside.
Na so.
