At least eight residents have been reported killed and more than 15 others injured

Another night of horror has descended on Plateau State.

At least eight residents have been reported kiilled and more than 15 others injured after heavily armed attackers invaded Gwon-Ajang village in Foron District, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, on Sunday night.
According to residents, the attackers stormed the community at about 10:00 p.m., firing indiscriminately and forcing villagers to flee for safety. Witnesses alleged that the gunmen operated for over two hours despite repeated distress calls to security agencies.

Families have once again been thrown into mourning, while survivors are left to count their losses and nurse their wounds.
How many more innocent Nigerians must die before rural communities receive adequate protection?
The bloodshed continues. The killings continue. The tears continue.
May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may justice be served. But how long shall we wait for the justice?
